Portuguese Carne Assada (Roast Beef) with Potatoes Recipe

Portuguese carne assada is a succulent, slow-roasted beef dish defined by a robust garlic and red wine marinade that creates a deeply savory glaze. This authentic recipe utilizes a traditional refogado base of sliced onions, smoky chouriço sausage, and pimenta moída (crushed red pepper sauce) to infuse the potatoes and carrots with a rich, aromatic heat and tender texture.

The Portuguese Pot Roast was excellent. My husband and I had our friends over and they are from Portuguese, so was my mom, but I hadn’t made Portuguese Pot Roast before, it was a hit with everyone.
